Catostylus cruciatus [Catostylus cruciatus]
Description
Divers often spot this jellyfish drifting through the water column like a slow, translucent parachute. Its bell can appear pale and delicate, and it may pulse gently as it moves with the currents. In the right conditions, you’ll see it calmly gliding past kelp edges or open water, sometimes with small fish hovering nearby.
