Caribbean Reef Octopus [Octopus briareus]
Description
On Caribbean reefs, this octopus is a master of disguise, frequently appearing near coral rubble, rock holes, and sandy patches close to cover. Divers may notice it changing color and texture to match its surroundings, then watching quietly from its shelter as it hunts small crustaceans.
