Caribbean Helmet [Cassis flammea]
Description
This species is endemic to the Caribbean Sea. It has a large, robust shell with a short, high spire and a wide, round aperture. The shell is marked by flame-like patterns, from which its name is derived. The Caribbean Helmet is found in sandy or muddy substrates and is carnivorous, feeding primarily on sea urchins.
