California Skate [Raja inornata]
Description
A species of skate endemic to the eastern Pacific Ocean, from Oregon to Baja California. It is found at depths ranging from 3 to 432 meters. The California skate is characterized by its diamond-shaped body, small head, and slender tail. Its dorsal surface is gray to brown, often with dark spots.
