Burnup's Cuttlefish [Sepia burnupi]
Description
Burnup's cuttlefish are typically encountered near the seafloor, where they use their flexible body shape and camouflage to stay nearly invisible. Divers may see them slowly approach, then suddenly jet away with a burst of water when they feel the need to escape—often leaving behind a brief swirl of disturbed sediment.
