Brown velvet snail [Velutina plicatilis]
Description
The brown velvet snail is a small marine gastropod with a thin, glossy, and fragile shell that is light to dark brown in color. The shell is about 5 to 7 millimeters in length. This species is found in the North Atlantic Ocean, from Scandinavia to the British Isles, and around Iceland. They live at depths of 0 to 30 meters and prefer to live on algae.
