Branched Cup Coral [Blastomussa wellsi]
Description
Divers often spot this coral as a cluster of small, branching cups that catch the light and create a lively, textured look on the reef. In clear water, the coral’s surface can appear subtly patterned, and its tentacle-like polyps may extend to feed, giving it a gentle, “alive” shimmer.
