Blurred Spot Rainbow Dorid [Chromodoris aspersa]
Description
Divers often notice this dorid by its vivid, rainbow-like color pattern broken up by softer, “blurred” spots. It’s a slow-moving sea slug that typically cruises along rocky or reef surfaces, grazing on food sources on the substrate. In good light, its mantle colors can look especially striking against the darker seafloor.
