Blue whelk [Buccinum cyaneum]
Description
As the name suggests, this whelk can show a bluish tone on its shell, especially when light hits it at the right angle. Divers often find it on the seafloor, where it blends with the surroundings but stands out once you notice the shell’s color and the animal’s deliberate movement.
