Blue Sea Dragon [Pteraeolidia ianthina]
Description
Pteraeolidia ianthina, also known as the Blue Sea Dragon, is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Facelinidae. Residing in the tropical waters of the central Indo-Pacific region, they are known to inhabit coral reefs and rubble areas. They exhibit a striking blue coloration which provides them with excellent camouflage against the blue water. Their diet consists mainly of various species of hydroids, which they farm and subsequently feed on.
