Blue-ringed Octopus [Hapalochlaena maculosa]
Description
When it feels safe, it can look almost plain—but when disturbed, bright blue rings flash across its body like a warning sign. Divers often find it in shallow rocky areas, where it patrols near holes and cracks, then suddenly freezes or darts away.
