Big-Finned Dumbo [Grimpoteuthis megaptera]
Description
Big-Finned Dumbo octopuses are known for their prominent fin structures, which can make them look almost like they’re “flying” through the water. Divers who spot one may see it glide slowly, using those fins to stabilize as it investigates the seafloor and nearby currents for food.
