Big-eye anchovy [Anchoviella lepidentostole]
Description
This species is found in the Western Atlantic: North Carolina, USA and Bermuda to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. It inhabits coastal waters and estuaries. Big-eye anchovy feeds on plankton at night and displays schooling behavior.
