Big Blue Octopus [Octopus cyanea]
Description
Divers often spot this octopus tucked into crevices on reefs, where it can look like a small, calm lump of color—until it moves. With its striking blue highlights and bold patterning, it may slowly emerge to investigate passing divers, then retreat quickly when it feels exposed.
