Description
Bean's mussel, named after British conchologist Colonel E.A. Bean, is a small bivalve mollusk found in the Northeast Atlantic. It inhabits shallow subtidal zones and embeds itself in muddy or sandy substrates. Its shell is oval and glossy, with a light yellowish-brown color.
