Banded snake moray [Myrichthys colubrinus]
Description
The banded snake moray is a species of eel in the family Ophichthidae. It is found in the Eastern Central Pacific, from southern Baja California, Mexico and from Guatemala to northern Colombia. It is a reef-associated species that is non-migratory. It has a maximum length of 110 cm. It has a distinct pattern of black and white bands across its body.
