Australian necklace shell [Sigapatella calypso]
Description
Found in the waters around Australia, the Australian necklace shell is another species of marine gastropod mollusk. It has a white shell with brown axial bands, similar to the Tasmanian necklace shell. It also inhabits similar environments, with a preference for the intertidal zone and shallow subtidal areas with soft substrates such as sand and mud.
