Description
The Atlantic soft pout is a species of fish in the family Chlorophthalmidae. It is found in the Atlantic Ocean, from the Gulf of Mexico to Brazil. This species is usually found in deep-sea environments, at depths of 200–400 m. It has a soft body and a tail that is fused to the dorsal and anal fins, which gives it its common name.
