Athenarian Burrowing Anemone [Edwardsia elegans]
Description
Divers often spot this burrowing anemone as a small, delicate “tent” emerging from sandy or muddy bottoms. When you hover nearby, it may gently extend its tentacles to capture passing food, then retract for cover as the seafloor shifts with currents.
