Ascarosepion bandense [Ascarosepion bandense]
Description
Ascarosepion bandense is a small, bottom-associated cuttlefish that can be surprisingly hard to notice at first. Under good light, divers may observe subtle patterning and color changes as it blends with the surrounding sand or rocks. With patience, you may catch it performing short bursts of swimming between resting spots.
