Aplidium colelloides [Aplidium colelloides]

Description

Aplidium colelloides commonly appears as an encrusting tunicate on hard bottoms, where it forms small patches that look like natural coatings. Divers can observe its textured surface up close, which may show slight ridges or a mosaic-like pattern. Because it doesn’t move, it’s best appreciated by slowing down and scanning for subtle life on the substrate.
