Aplidium circulatum [Aplidium circulatum]

Description

Aplidium circulatum colonies can be seen as organized, rounded patches on hard surfaces, giving divers a distinct “pattern” to look for. The individual zooids contribute to a textured surface that stands out from bare rock, especially when you change your angle to catch the light. It’s a great example of how tunicates can form tidy, colony-level shapes.
