Description
Divers often spot this colonial tunicate as a patchwork of small, upright or finger-like zooids attached to rock or other hard surfaces. In clear water, it can look like a subtle, textured growth that adds “lived-in” detail to crevices and overhangs. Up close, the colony’s shape and spacing of the individual units become more apparent.
