Aplidium brementi [Aplidium brementi]
Description
Divers may notice this colonial tunicate as a small, encrusting patch on rocks, shells, or other hard substrates. It often looks like a textured, slightly raised “carpet” of tiny zooids, with color and patterning that can vary with light and local conditions. When you swim close, the surface detail becomes more apparent—like a living mosaic attached to the seafloor.
