Anemone Coral [Goniopora planulata]
Description
This Goniopora species typically forms a textured colony where many small polyps protrude like tiny blossoms. Underwater, divers may see the polyps extend more fully when conditions are calm, creating a soft, velvety look over the coral surface. Its gentle, rhythmic movement makes it a favorite for close-up reef observations.
