Allis Shad [Alosa alosa]
Description
The Allis Shad is a species of anadromous fish found in Western Europe. It is the largest species in the Shad family with a long, slim body and a silvery blue color. It has a short, deep groove on the upper jaw fitting into the lower jaw. They migrate into rivers for spawning from April to June.
