Alcyonium senegalense [Alcyonium senegalense]
Description
This soft coral typically forms branching or lumpy colonies that can appear pale to yellowish or creamy, sometimes with a subtle pink cast. Divers may see it “breathing” as polyps subtly extend, especially when water movement brings food within reach. It’s commonly encountered on hard substrates where currents help feed the colony.
