Alcyonium roseum [Alcyonium roseum]
Description
Divers often notice this soft coral as a low, cushion-like growth with a rosy or pinkish tone. It tends to sway gently in the current, and its surface can look velvety as polyps extend and retract. In good visibility, it’s a striking splash of color on rocky bottoms and sheltered habitats.
