Alcyonium grandis [Alcyonium grandis]
Description
Alcyonium grandis is a large, fleshy soft coral that can create impressive, rounded colonies on the seafloor. Divers may see it as a substantial mass with lobes or folds that give it a sculpted, almost brain-like appearance. In the right conditions, its movement with the water flow makes it feel very alive and dynamic.
