Actinothoe sanmatiensis [Actinothoe sanmatiensis]

Description

Divers searching along the seafloor may come across this species as a small, bottom-dwelling anemone with a distinctive, compact shape. It tends to remain in place, using its tentacles to catch food carried by currents. If you hover quietly, you may see gentle tentacle movements as it responds to passing water.
