Description
This anemone is usually encountered as a compact, textured animal attached to the seafloor or to hard surfaces. Underwater, its tentacles can extend to capture passing food, creating a subtle, mottled look against the substrate. Divers often notice it more by its movement—tentacles shifting with currents—than by size alone.
