Acropora derawanensis [Acropora derawanensis]

Description

Divers may encounter this Acropora as compact, branching growth that adds crisp structure to the reefscape. Its fine branches can create a natural “maze” that small fish and crustaceans use for cover. When currents pass, the coral’s surface can look subtly alive, with polyps and color tones becoming more noticeable.
