Abyssorum Caryophyllia [Caryophyllia (Caryophyllia) abyssorum]
Description
As its name suggests, this species is associated with deeper environments, so divers may encounter it during deeper dives or in slope habitats. It often presents as a textured stony coral with compact corallites, adding a quiet, “geological” character to the seafloor.
