Echinopora Coral [Echinophyllia aspera]
Description
Echinophyllia aspera, or the Echinopora Coral, is a hard coral species found in the Indo-Pacific region. It is known for its encrusting form and irregular lobes, which make it look like a brain. The surface of the coral is covered with small spiky projections known as corallites, giving it a rough texture. This species thrives in shallow waters with strong currents and light.
