Crested Bullhead Shark [Heterodontus galeatus]
Description
This species is a Bullhead shark in the family Heterodontidae that can be found along the coast of eastern Australia. It is a nocturnal, bottom-dwelling shark that likes rocky reef habitats and sandy bottoms. It has a diet that consists largely of molluscs, crustaceans, and small fishes. The Crested Bullhead Shark has a tall, pointed crest in front of its dorsal fins, a blunt snout, and a grayish-brown color with dark saddle-like markings.
