Japanese Angelshark [Squatina japonica]
Description
The Japanese Angelshark is a species of angelshark, family Squatinidae, found in the northwestern Pacific Ocean off China, Korea, and Japan. It is a bottom-dwelling species that can be found down to depths of 331 m. It has a flattened body and is camouflaged to resemble sand or mud.
