Description
Variable Coral, or Pavona varians, is a species of hard coral found in the Indo-Pacific area. It is characterized by its encrusting colonies with irregular verrucae. This coral can be found in varied shades of green, brown, and yellow. The species is most commonly found in shallow waters, particularly in lagoons and fringing reefs.
