Description
Astreopora expansa, also known as Smooth Star Coral, is a marine species that belongs to the family Acroporidae. They form large, rounded colonies with smooth surfaces, which distinguish them from others in the genus. They inhabit upper reef slopes and lagoonal reefs in the Indo-Pacific, specifically observed in the waters of the northern Great Barrier Reef.
