Japanese Sand Mason Worm [Lanice japonica]

Description
Lanice japonica is a marine species of polychaete worm native to the northwest Pacific Ocean. It lives in a tube it constructs from sand and shell fragments, similar to its relative, Lanice conchilega. It is characterized by its long, segmented body and numerous bristles. It is primarily a filter feeder, capturing food particles from the water column.
