Description
The Ice-cream Cone Worm, scientifically known as Hyalinoecia artifex, is a marine species that builds a long, tube-shaped home from sand and shell fragments. The worm’s body is segmented and soft, ranging from white to pale pink in colour. This species is often found in the deep sea, typically between 200 to 3,000 meters deep, where the water is cold and the pressure is high.
