Description
The Branchiosyllis oculata, also known as the Atlantic Fireworm, is a species of marine polychaete worm. It is found in the Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the Caribbean Sea. This species thrives in sandy bottoms and coral reefs where it burrows and hides during the day, becoming more active at night. It feeds on detritus and small organisms. It can be identified by its elongated, segmented body with parapodia bearing numerous cirri.
