Wellington Limpet [Notoacmea helmsi]
Description
The Wellington Limpet (Notoacmea helmsi) is a small limpet with a shell diameter of up to 30mm. The shell is smooth and glossy, usually with a dark black or brown colour. It's found on intertidal rocks, often in clusters. This species is endemic to the coasts of New Zealand.
