Atlantic Triton [Charonia variegata]
Description
The Atlantic Triton is a striking predator with a thick, beautifully patterned shell that can look almost like carved stone. Divers commonly encounter it on sandy or rocky habitats where it patrols for prey, often remaining still until it senses movement nearby. If you watch closely, you may notice its slow, deliberate movements and the way it anchors itself against currents.
