Phyllidia monacha [Phyllidia monacha]
Description
Monk’s wart slug is a visually bold nudibranch that divers may see on reef walls and rocky bottoms, especially where sponges are present. Its rough, wart-like surface and eye-catching coloration stand out in the low light and shadows of the reef, and it often appears calm and unhurried as it feeds.
