Goniobranchus collingwoodi [Goniobranchus collingwoodi]
Description
Collingwood’s Goniobranchus is a colorful dorid nudibranch that divers may spot on reef slopes and rocky bottoms, especially where sponges are abundant. Its vivid patterning and smooth, rounded body make it a standout during macro dives. If you watch closely, you can often see it methodically move across the substrate, seemingly “testing” the surface as it feeds.
