Chromodoris ophthalmica [Chromodoris ophthalmica]
Description
Divers may recognize this species by its bold, eye-catching coloration and distinctive body pattern. Like many Chromodoris, it’s usually found crawling over reef surfaces where sponges are abundant, using its muscular foot to move slowly along the seafloor. If you pause and scan carefully, you might spot it tucked near sponge patches.
