Atlantic Oval Squid [Sepioteuthis sepioidea]
Description
Divers may spot this squid cruising near rocky bottoms or sandy patches, often with a smooth, streamlined “oval” body shape. When it feels threatened, it can rapidly jet away and may flash subtle color changes as it adjusts its camouflage.
