Common Cuttlefish [Sepia officinalis]
Description
The Common Cuttlefish is a classic sight for many temperate-water divers, frequently seen near rocky bottoms and seagrass edges. Its ability to shift between bold stripes, spots, and smooth camouflage makes it especially impressive during close encounters, and it may jet away in a quick burst if approached.
