Shortclub Cuttlefish [Sepia brevimana]
Description
Shortclub cuttlefish are often seen hovering close to the seafloor, using their mottled coloration to blend into sand and rubble. Divers may notice them changing texture and color in quick pulses—especially when they feel threatened—before they jet away in a smooth, controlled retreat.
