Octopus australis [Octopus australis]
Description
In kelp forests and rocky habitats, divers might encounter this octopus perched near the entrance of a den. It often appears calm at first, then becomes noticeably alert as it watches for passing fish and crustaceans. With rapid camouflage changes, it can look like a living part of the rock or algae.
